Eden has always been a dribbler as well as being an all round messy moo – just like most babies I guess. When she first started teething, I found that we were going through several bibs a day and some were leaving sore marks on her neck or the dribble was leaking through onto her clothes. We have always loved Funky Giraffe, right from when Eden was born. So when they asked us to review their new Scood, we happily accepted.
“What is a Scood?” I hear you cry. A scood is safe and practical alternative to a scarf.
They’re made of lovely, fleecy material and have poppers on the back to keep the product safer than your average scarf. I’ve never wanted to put Eden in a scarf as I constantly worry about her managing to get it wrapped too tightly around her neck or it somehow becoming a ligature. The bonus with these is that they also come in that amazing Funky Giraffe absorbency, so it’s almost like you get a dribble bib built in as well.
Our supplied scood was a beautiful, bright pink colour. Eden took to it immediately, especially as the weather turned colder and it helped to keep her snuggly and warm when we were out and about. The fast that it wasn’t wrapped around her like an average scarf meant that she couldn’t just take it off and launch it! I loved that it was elasticated, so it fitted her well without any gaps to let cold air in. It also means that it will grow with her and we will hopefully get a few more years out of it!
The Scood is available on the Funky Giraffe Website at a starting price of £6. There are a few different designs to choose from, so everyone can keep toasty in style over the winter. While you’re there, take a look at their dribble bibs. They are our absolute favourite!
Disclaimer : We were supplied with a Scood for the purpose of a review. All opinions are our own.
