First Clomid Two Week Wait – 1dpo

Today is one day post ovulation. Ovulation day was yesterday, as signalled by some absolutely monster cramps that thankfully all went away by yesterday afternoon. With inseminations three days before and one day before ovulation we have done all that we can.

It’s odd. I feel like we have more hope this cycle. I actually have a VERY good feeling about this cycle, however I am also trying to manage my expectations. Nothing in this trying to conceive game is certain, especially not getting pregnant and staying pregnant. Maybe it’s the clomid that is making me feel like we have a great chance. Maybe it’s the great insemination timing. Who knows? All we can do is cross our fingers and hope that biology is on our side!

In other news, we are moving house in little under three weeks. I’m excited. We’ve loved this house for the last fourteen months, but now I’m excited to move on. If the landlady doesn’t want us here, that’s her problem. We shall take our money and go elsewhere. I’m looking forward to a new start and who knows, new house might equal new baby!

Did I go overboard with the OPKs this cycle?

Good luck! I’m hoping the package with there extra sticks gets to you too late to be useful 🙂

Good luck!! I ovulated today, with the help of letrozole, so I’m right behind you on the two week wait! Xx

  3. Wow, lots of OPKs! I’m curious – why not do insemination on the day of ovulation too, just in case? (Maybe instead of 3 days prior, if you can only do twice?)

    • Just purely because out of the days, day of ovulation has the lower success rate. We have inseminated day of ovulation before, but don’t see the point when we already did two this cycle. I know if we insem prior to ovulation that the egg will be there, but if we inseminate day of ovulation I worry that the egg already died. That’s just me 🙂

  4. THat is a TON of opks. I didn’t realize you took that many lol. But I have a great feeling about this cycle for you too!

Good luck! I hope this TWW goes swiftly and has an awesome ending!

  6. Best of luck friend! I hope that it all goes well (the move and the baby business!)

  7. MamaWannaBe says:

Looks like a perfectly reasonable amount of OPKs to me! Good luck!
